Data entry is the most expensive cheap work in a business. A supplier invoice arrives as a PDF, somebody reads it, and types the same numbers into a system that could have read them directly.
We build pipelines that pull the fields out — dates, reference numbers, line items, totals — validate them against rules you set, and only involve a person when something does not add up. Totals that do not match their line items get flagged rather than silently accepted.
We have done this at scale on our own archive: roughly eleven hundred historical invoice files parsed, reconciled and imported into a live system, with every invoice's line items verified to sum exactly to its stated total.
